Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I adopt a Shih Tzu puppy from Shih Tzu Haven?

Visit our Available Puppies page, choose your puppy, and contact us. We’ll guide you step-by-step through a safe and smooth adoption process.

2. How much is the adoption fee?

Adoption fees range from $600 to $900 depending on the puppy. This is lower than the market rate, and includes vaccinations, health checks, and care essentials.

3. Are your puppies vaccinated and health checked?

Yes! All our puppies are up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, and examined by a licensed veterinarian before going home.

4. Are your puppies potty trained?

Our puppies begin potty and crate training early. While they may need a little help adjusting in your home, they have a great head start!

5. Do you ship puppies to other states?

Yes, we offer safe and reliable nationwide delivery across the USA. We work with trusted pet transport services or flight nannies.

6. Can I visit the puppy before adoption?

Yes! If you’re nearby, you’re welcome to visit. For distant families, we also offer video calls so you can meet your puppy virtually.

7. Do you offer breeding rights?

No. All of our puppies are adopted as pets only. We do not include or sell breeding rights.

8. What registry are the puppies under?

Our puppies may be registered with AKC, ACA, or APRI depending on the litter. Each listing will include this information.

9. What is included with my puppy?

Every puppy comes with a health record, registration paperwork (if applicable), a sample of puppy food, and a comfort blanket with mom’s scent.

10. Can I reserve a puppy before they’re ready?

Absolutely. A deposit will hold your puppy until they’re ready to go home. This ensures no one else can adopt the puppy you’ve chosen.
